Music Together Reaches Out
We know music transforms lives—we see it every day. And we want every family, regardless of their circumstances, to experience the fun, learning, and sense of belonging that happens when people make music together. That's why we encourage and actively support organizations and licensees who bring the Music Together program to families who, due to poverty or other challenging situations, might not otherwise be able to experience the Joy of Family Music®.
Many licensees partner with local nonprofits to reach families in need. We have an on-staff outreach mentor and a board-certified music therapist who support our licensees in their work with underserved populations. We also offer special rates to qualified programs that work with these families.
Our curricula can be adapted to fit the needs of many different types of program partners. High-risk populations who have benefitted from Music Together include:
children in early intervention programs
families experiencing homelessness
children with an incarcerated parent
teen parents and their babies
families at-risk for neglect or abuse
victims of domestic violence
children with special needs
families in WIC programs
migrant workers and their families
Head Start/Early Head Start families
